January 09, 2006 - Gamers Nothing to do with dodgy webcam stuff Gamecaster today announced that "research, development, and manufacturing of its second-generation, patent-pending Gamecaster Cybercam technology" has been completed. This technology is designed to work for "cameramen" for sports videogames, giving them options similar to that of real televised sports cameramen. The system is also useable in other games, giving precise camera movement that will be invaluable for game makers demoing their games, and creators of "machinima" (movies made using game engines)."Gamecaster is pleased to announce that the Gamecaster Cybercam S2 is now available under licensing contract to qualified professional organizations, said David MacIntosh, president and CEO of Gamecaster. "The Gamecaster Cybercam S2 enables our television broadcast licensees to produce better in-game coverage of video game competitions, and give TV viewers a mind-blowing spectator experience. The Gamecaster Cybercam S2 also enables our video game publisher and advertising licensees to produce better trailers and commercials, by capturing footage in-game, and reach today's discerning gamers who demand to see what the games actually look like in action before they make a purchase."
