October 27, 2005 - Boing Boing In-game Machinima Ed Wood Film Festival BuhBuhCuh Fairchild, a player in the Second Life virtual world, writes, "I'm hosting a machinima competition this halloween weekend in the virtual world of Second Life/ It's in the spirit of Ed Wood's film making career - make a film fast, and make it kitschy. You get 72 hours to use SL to make your movie (good or bad), and then, on Halloween, we are going to screen all of them IN Second Life, making it (I think) the first Virtual Film Festival of entirely Virtual Films in a Virtual World. It should be lots of fun." Not only that, there are game-cash prizes! Link (Thanks, BuhBuhCuh Fairchild!)
