"I'd Like to Thank the Academy..." Trifecta of Awards Bestowed on Rooster Teeth Productions at the 2005 Machinima Awards

Renowned Machinima Production Company Recognized for Excellence With Three Mackie Awards for Best Independent Machinima, Best Writing and Best Editing

BUDA, TX -- (MARKET WIRE) -- 11/16/2005 -- Rooster Teeth Productions, already renowned for their creativity and technical excellence in Machinima film production, was a big winner at the Academy of Machinima Arts & Sciences' 2005 Machinima Film Festival, collecting three "Mackie" awards and eleven award nominations for their work on the hit series "Red Vs. Blue," "P.A.N.I.C.S." and "The Strangerhood."

"We are very proud to have been recognized with three awards -- one for each of our series," commented Matt Hullum, at Rooster Teeth. "This is especially true since the level of competition was so high this year."

"Red vs. Blue," based on Microsoft's Xbox title "Halo" received the award for "Best Independent Machinima." This marks the 4th Mackie awarded to the internationally acclaimed series, and 6th Mackie won by Rooster Teeth. "Red vs. Blue" was also nominated for 4 additional awards, including Best Picture, Best Direction, Best Writing, Best Off-the-Shelf and Best Series.

Also a winner was "The Strangerhood," based on Electronic Art's title "The Sims2," which won the Mackie for "Best Editing" and was also nominated for Best Commercial/Game Machinima.

"The quality of work submitted to this year's Mackies superseded any of our previous competitions, and Rooster Teeth's exceptional entries were part of that watermark," said Paul Marino, Executive Director of the Academy of Machinima Arts and Sciences. "The Academy congratulates them on their well-deserved win and looks forward to their future Machinima works."

Finally, Rooster Teeth's latest mini-series "P.A.N.I.C.S. -- People Acting Normal in Crazy-ass Situations," based on Vivendi Universals' PC title, "F.E.A.R. -- First Encounter Assault Recon" walked away with the Independent Film Channel (IFC) sponsored award for "Excellence in Machinima Screenwriting." "P.A.N.I.C.S." was nominated for three prizes overall, including Best Commercial/Game Machinima and Best Series.

Started in 2002, the Academy of Machinima Arts and Sciences (AMAS™) created the Machinima Awards to recognize excellence and visibility in Machinima film productions. Sponsors for the 2005 Mackie Awards included NVIDIA, IFC, the Museum of the Moving Image, Machinima.com and Beepa.
